SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Ryan Toolson scored 33 points, going 13-for-13 from the free-throw line, to lead Utah Valley to a 69-58 victory over Savannah State on Saturday.
Toolson, who surpassed the 2,000-point mark for his career on Monday, also hit four 3-pointers for the Wolverines (14-9), who won their fourth consecutive game.
Savannah State (12-14), which has lost three straight games, took a 41-34 lead on Jovonni Shuler's layup with 18:49 left in the game.
Toolson then hit a 3-pointer to spark Utah Valley to a 9-0 run that gave the Wolverines a 43-41 lead with 16:35 remaining.
Utah Valley, which was 26 of 29 from the line (89.7 percent), ended the game on a 10-0 run.
Josh Olsen added 17 points for the Wolverines.
Shuler led Savannah State with 18 points and Chris Linton added 12 points and eight rebounds.
