Idaho St. 63, Montana St. 56

BOZEMAN, Mont. -- Donnie Carson scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds to lead Idaho State to a 63-56 win over Montana State on Thursday night.

Matt Stucki, Amorrow Morgan and Lucas Steijn finished with 12 points apiece for the Bengals (8-19, 7-6 Big Sky).

Idaho State went on a 13-3 run capped by four straight points from Morgan to take a 22-13 lead with just under seven minutes to play in the first half.

The Bobcats (12-12, 6-7) narrowed the margin and kept it close for most of the second half, but Idaho State put the game out of reach with five minutes to play as they extended the lead to nine on Stucki's fall-away jumper.

Will Bynum led Montana State with 15 points. Branden Johnson finished with 13 points in the place of Bobby Howard, a regular starting forward who was out with a knee injury.
