PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Patrick Foley scored a career-high 21 points and Noruwa Agho added 17 to push Columbia past Brown 70-57 Friday night.
Foley made 7 of 10 field goal attempts and 4 of 4 from the line for the Lions (11-12, 6-3 Ivy League). K.J. Matsui added 14, including 11 in the first half. Columbia shot 54 percent from the field to 40.8 by the Bears.The Lions finished the first half with a 17-4 run for a 27-21 edge at the break. The Bears (7-16, 1-8) closed to within five with 9:06 left in the second half but the Lions fashioned an 11-4 spurt to ice the game.Matt Mullery paced the Bears with 21 points, six rebounds and four blocks that gave him Brown's single-season record with 43. Peter Sullivan added 19 points.
