LEXINGTON, Va. -- Kenny Thomas scored 28 points to lead five Radford players in double figures in a 97-90 victory over Virginia Military Institute on Saturday.
The Highlanders (17-10, 14-2 Big South Conference) have won eight in a row, nine consecutive road games and 13 of their past 14 games to lead the Big South.
Chavis Holmes, who hit six 3-pointers, scored 29 points to pace VMI (20-7, 11-5), which has lost three consecutive games.
Radford went 38 of 62 from the field (61.3 percent) to help offset VMI's 16 3-pointers.
Artsiom Parakhouski, who went 8 of 9 from the field, scored 17 points,
Amir Johnson and
Joey Lynch-Flohr each had 15 points and 14 rebounds and
Chris McEachin added 11 points for Radford.
Keith Gabriel scored 14,
Travis Holmes had 13 points and 10 rebounds,
Michael Sparks had 11 points and
Austin Kenon added 10 for VMI.
