DEKALB, Ill. -- Darion Anderson scored 26 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead Northern Illinois to a 78-63 win over Western Michigan on Wednesday night.

Mike DiNunno, Michael Patton and Sean Smith added 14 points each for Northern Illinois (9-17, 4-9 Mid-American), which led 29-15 at the half and never trailed in the game.

Western Michigan (9-18, 6-7) shot just 2-for-10 from field-goal range and 0-for-9 from 3-point range in the first half. Eleven of the Broncos' 15 points before the break were foul shots.

The Huskies avenged a 71-52 loss at Kalamazoo, Mich., on Jan. 17. The Broncos have lost seven of the last nine contests.

David Kool scored a game-high 31 points for Western Michigan. No other Broncos reached double figures.

The Huskies held Shawntes Gary, who averaged 10.3 ppg., to two points.
