Idaho St. 74, Sacramento St. 39

POCATELLO, Idaho -- Three Idaho State players combined for 33 points Thursday night as the Bengals dominated Sacramento State 74-39, clinching a spot in the Big Sky Tournament.

Guards Amorrow Morgan and Austin Kilpatrick shot 12 and 11 points, respectively, and center Lucas Steijn tossed in 10 for Idaho State (11-18, 8-7 Big Sky).

Morgan, Steijn and forward Felix Casper had four rebounds each.

Forward Randy Adams led Sacramento State (2-26, 1-14) with nine points.

The Hornets' leading rebounder was center Justin Eller with six.

Idaho State opened the game with a 26-5 run and finished the first half up 34-14, hitting 64 percent of its field goal attempts, including five of seven 3-point shots.

Sacramento State did not score until almost six minutes into the game on a pair of free throws, and didn't score its first field goal until there was 5:36 remaining in the half.

The Hornets missed their first 15 field goal attempts.

Idaho State went on a 13-5 run to open the second half.

All 11 Bengals who played scored.

Idaho State shot 63 percent for the game while Sacramento State shot just 28 percent.
