LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The balanced offense that Arkansas-Little Rock used Thursday night to beat New Orleans 80-54 is apparent in the points put up by the top scorer on the winning team -- Matt Mouzy, with 12.
The Trojans (21-7, 14-3) led 39-22 at intermission after closing the first half with a 12-0 run. They came back out after the break and hit two-thirds of their field goals in the second half.
Brandon Patterson was the only other UALR player scoring in double digits, with 10 points, while two players --
John Fowler and
Curtis Jackson -- scored 9 points, and three scored 8 points --
Shane Edwards,
Lionel Foster and
Derrick Bails.
Jackson's 9 points were scored on perfect 3-for-3 shooting from beyond the 3-point arc.
The Privateers (11-18, 6-21) were led by
Kyndall Dykes, with 20 points, and
Obi Ikeakor, with 10.
