ITTA BENA, Miss. -- Drummond Jones scored 14 points to lead Mississippi Valley State in a 62-42 win over Grambling State on Monday night.

Shannon Behling added 12 points and Eric Petty had 11 for the Delta Devils (7-23, 7-10 Southwestern Athletic Conference), who have won a season-best four of their last six games.

Ibrahim Kpaka was the only player in double figures for the Tigers (6-21, 4-12), tallying 13 points. The Tigers have lost seven in a row since their last win, a 75-68 victory over the Delta Devils on Feb. 2.

Leading by seven points at halftime, MVSU opened the second half on a 13-2 run and cruised from there. The Delta Devils shot 47.6 percent from the field (10 of 21) in the second compared to the Tigers, who shot just 27.6 percent (8 of 29).

MVSU outrebounded the Tigers 43-27 in the game, and had a 14-4 advantage in second-chance points.
