LARAMIE, Wyo. -- Tony Danridge scored 29 points Saturday as New Mexico edged Wyoming 74-73.
The Lobos (21-10, 12-4 Mountain West) earned at least a share of the league title. Both Utah and BYU were tied with New Mexico going in and played later on Saturday.
The game was tight throughout, with 14 lead changes in the second half.
Chad Toppert's short jump shot with 1:21 remaining, proved to be the game winner.
Wyoming (18-12, 7-9) had one final chance to win the game, but
Brandon Ewing's off-balance runner off the glass was off the mark in the final seconds.
Sean Ogirri led the Cowboys with 17 points, followed by Ewing with 16 and Djibril Thiam with 12.
Roman Martinez added 15 points for New Mexico.
