WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- While most of the attention in the Atlantic Coast Conference on Sunday was on the North Carolina-Duke rivalry, Wake Forest served notice it's a contender for next week's league tournament crown, too.With James Johnson scoring 17 of his 21 points after halftime, the 10th-ranked Demon Deacons had their offense humming in a 96-88 comeback win over Clemson (No. 19 ESPN/USA Today, No. 18 AP) on Sunday in the regular-season finale.
• The Demon Deacons defeated Clemson at home for the 17th straight time, earning the No. 2 seed in the ACC tournament.
• James Johnson and Al-Farouq Aminu led Wake Forest with 21 points apiece, helping Clemson drop its 40th road game vs. a ranked opponent in its last 41 such encounters.
• Jeff Teague needed just seven shots to record his 15 points for the Demon Deacons.
