CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Roeland Schaftenaar sparked an 8-0 overtime run and Oregon State rallied to beat Stanford 65-62 on Wednesday night in the College Basketball Invitational semifinals.

Lathan Wallace had 16 points and three steals for Oregon State (16-17), which lost a six-point lead in the final 2:30 of regulation, but overcame a five-point deficit in overtime.

Schaftenaar added 14 points, and Calvin Haynes 10 for the Beavers, who will host Texas-El Paso on Monday night in the first game of the best-of-three championship series.

Anthony Goods led Stanford (20-14) with 20 points.

It was the fourth meeting of the year between the Pac-10 conference rivals. The Beavers swept the regular-season games, but the Cardinal got even in the first round of the postseason tournament.

On Wednesday, Oregon State had a 28-26 halftime lead after Haynes had a steal and basket with a second left. The Beavers held the lead despite suffering through an 8-minute stretch without a point. The Beavers survived by holding the Cardinal to just five points.

Drew Shiller's 3-pointer capped a 9-0 run that put Stanford ahead 35-30 with 14:15 remaining in regulation. Oregon State regained the lead, with Seth Tarver's score giving the Beavers a 51-45 lead with 2:36 left.

But Stanford came back, and Lawrence Hill's 15-foot shot at the buzzer sent the game into overtime tied at 54.

Landry Fields' 3-pointer gave the Cardinal a 61-56 lead with 2:30 left in overtime, the Cardinal were held to one point after that.

Schaftenaar scored the first five points of that late 8-0 run, then found Tarver at the basket for two more.

Hill finished with 14 points for Stanford and Fields had 11.
