PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Gregory Echenique had 19 points and eight rebounds to help Rutgers hold off Colgate 76-67 on Sunday.

Freshman Dane Miller had career highs with 15 points and eight rebounds for Rutgers (5-2) and Mike Rosario came off the bench for 14 points.

Rosario, Rutgers' leading scorer, did not enter until 8:07 remained in the first half due to a shin problem.

Trailing 37-30 early in the second half, Rutgers went on a 24-5 run to open up a 54-42 advantage. With the score tied at 40, James Beatty hit a 3-pointer and Rosario hit a foul shot and jumper to start the Knights on a decisive 14-2 run.

Rutgers also got nine points and six assists from Mike Coburn.
