Green has career-high 19 points, matches high with 12 boards in win
EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Draymond Green almost had a perfect game for Michigan State (No. 14 ESPN/USA Today, No. 12 AP). The numbers didn't mean as much to the sophomore forward as a leadership meeting he was part of the night before.
After a long conversation with coach Tom Izzo and co-captain Raymar Morgan about slow starts, Green moved into the starting lineup and delivered a career-high 19 points and 12 rebounds in an 88-57 victory over Oakland, Mich. on Thursday night."Being asked to meet with Coach and Raymar means a lot to me," Green said. "It shows what he thinks of me as a player and a leader."Fast Facts
