INDIANAPOLIS -- Gordon Hayward isn't just a shooter anymore.The sophomore had 24 points and eight rebounds, and Butler (No. 20 ESPN/USA Today, No. 22 AP) beat a ranked team for the first time in four tries this season, holding off Ohio State (No. 15 ESPN/USA Today, No. 13 AP) on Saturday 74-66.
• Using a 15-0 run late in the second half, Butler was able to defeat Ohio State to earn its first win over a ranked opponent this season.
• Four starters scored in double figures for Butler, including a season-high 24 from Gordon Hayward.
• The Bulldogs have won 16 of their last 21 games vs. nonconference opponents.
• Ohio State, playing without leading-scorer Evan Turner for the first time this season, scored a season-low 66 points. William Buford finished with a season-high 20 points in the loss.
