ORONO, Maine -- Gerald McLemore scored 14 points and Maine held off Princeton 52-50 on Monday night, snapping the Tigers' six-game winning streak.

The Black Bears (8-5), who won their third straight, were 23-for-31 from the free throw line.

Maine led by 13 points in the first half, but the Tigers (7-5) cut it to 26-25 with 16:21 left in the game.

After the Black Bears built a 10-point lead with 4:33 left, Princeton used a 15-7 run, capped by two Nick Lake 3-pointers, to pull within 48-46 with 20 seconds left.

McLemore made two free throws with 18 seconds left, followed by Douglas Davis' layup to make it 50-48. Murphy Burnatowski's two foul shots gave Maine a 50-48 lead. Princeton's Kareem Maddox made a jumper, was fouled and missed the free throw with 4 seconds left. Lake rebounded the foul shot, but missed the potential game-tying jumper.

Davis led the Tigers with 13 points.
