• Playing in its first game since the disclosure of coach Jim Calhoun's medical leave, Connecticut snapped a three-game losing streak thanks to the 16-point win over St. John's. Connecticut is 18-4 when Calhoun either misses the game or leaves the bench.
• The Huskies continued their recent success at home, as the team is 11-1 at home this season and 41-4 at home since the start of the 2007-08 season.
• Jerome Dyson led Connecticut with a game-high 21 points and Stanley Robinson finished with 18. Robinson has scored in double-figures in 24 straight games dating back to last season.
