AUSTIN, Texas -- Leave it to the least likely players to score to give Texas the offensive punch it needed to end a two-game skid.Justin Mason had 18 points and Dogus Balbay added 13, leading No. 6 Texas to a 95-83 win over Texas Tech on Wednesday night after losses at Kansas State and Connecticut cost the Longhorns the nation's top ranking.
• In their first game since losing their No. 1 ranking, the Longhorns got a win thanks to a season-high 28 points from Damion James, one shy of his career high (set in January 2008 vs. TCU).
• Texas has won seven straight conference home games and is 21-2 in its last 23 conference home games. The Longhorns have won nine of the last 10 meetings with Texas Tech.
• Every Longhorn starter finished in double figures, offsetting a season-high 27 points from John Roberson and Mike Singletary's sixth 20-point game of the season.
• The Red Raiders have lost 13 straight conference road games.
