NEW YORK -- Tyrone Lewis scored 21 points and Niagara held off Manhattan 74-72 on Friday night.
Lewis also grabbed five rebounds to become the first player in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference history to have 1,500 points, 500 rebounds, 200 steals and 200 assists in a career.
Manhattan trailed by 15 with 6:33 to play, but finished with a 14-1 run.
Niagara led 74-71 when Manhattan's Antoine Pearson was fouled with 1 second remaining. He made the first shot and missed the second. The Jaspers got the rebound but a layup by Rico Pickett was no good at the buzzer.
Darrell Crawford led the Jaspers (10-18, 4-13), with 18 points, Pickett added 17, Pearson had 13 and Bradon Adams had a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
