HOT SPRINGS, Ark. -- Rashad Alison scored 20 points, and Arkansas State set a Sun Belt Conference tournament record for free throws made and attempted in a 89-82 overtime victory over Arkansas-Little Rock in a first-round game on Saturday.

The Red Wolves (17-13) were 43 of 58 from the foul line, capitalizing on 37 fouls called against Arkansas-Little Rock. Fifth-seeded Arkansas State plays No. 4 Western Kentucky in a quarterfinal game on Sunday.

One of them was Solomon Bozeman, who led the Trojans (8-22) with 17 points and was one of four members of the team to foul out. Little Rock overcame the frequent fouls to erase a 12-point second-half deficit to tie the score at 74-74 and force overtime.

Arkansas State closed out the overtime with a 12-2 run. It made 11 of 15 free-throw tries in the extra session.
