FARGO, N.D. -- Six double-figure scorers powered North Dakota State to a 103-63 victory over Mayville State in the Bison's home opener Saturday.
Taylor Braun's 15 points led the Bison (3-1), who shot 58.1 percent (36 of 62). He was followed by Freddy Coleman and TrayVonn Wright with 13 apiece and Michael Tveidt, Eric Carlson and Marshall Bjorklund with 10 each.
Shavontae Samuels led the Comets (3-1) with 24 points, and Adam Edwards had 13.
North Dakota State ran off the first 15 points before Ross Aman scored for Mayville State 4:11 into the game.
The lead reached 60-36 at intermission. North Dakota State passed the 100-point mark with 3:08 left on Andy Nagel's jumper to make it 101-58.
North Dakota State held a 47-22 rebounding edge and was 11 of 19 (57.9 percent) on 3-pointers.
The NAIA Comets counted this game as an exhibition.
