DALLAS -- Chris Harriel scored 18 points to lead Portland State to a 69-58 victory over UC Riverside in the SMU Invitational on Sunday.

Nate Lozeau scored 12 points, and Charles Odum and Phillip Thomas each had 10 for the Vikings (3-1).

Phil Martin led UC Riverside (2-3) with 13 points. BJ Shearry had 10 points and six rebounds for the Highlanders.

The game was tied 36-36 at halftime, and stayed close until Portland State went on a 23-6 run over an 8-minute stretch in the middle of the second half to open up their largest lead at 66-49.
