SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Demetrece Young scored 19 points to lead four teammates in double figures Monday night and Pacific defeated Arkansas State 77-70.

The game was part of the NIT Season Tip-Off consolation round.

Nyika Williams had 14 points and six rebounds for the Tigers (4-1). Sam Willard and Jose Rivera scored 12 points each and Young also had six assists.

Pacific scored the game's first 12 points, but the Red Wolves (0-4) battled back to tie it at 28-28 with 1:14 to play before the break. But the Tigers led 35-31 at halftime, and led by 13 just 6 minutes into the second half.

Malcoln Kirkland led Arkansas State with 14 points. Brandon Peterson contributed 10 points and nine rebounds.

The game was delayed for 16 minutes with 7:27 left in the first half due to a tornado warning.
