CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- Jenirro Bush scored a career-high 31 points to lead Jackson State to an 87-75 win over Chattanooga on Wednesday night, giving the Tigers their first win of the season.
Jackson State (1-5) shot a blistering 69.2 percent (18 of 26) in the second half.
The Tigers trailed by 10 points twice in the first half, but used a 19-5 run in the final 6:21 to lead 36-31 at the break.
After Jackson State built a 51-42 edge, the Mocs (2-4) went on a 10-0 run to lead 52-51.
Bush, who had 20 second-half points, then hit a 3-pointer to push the Tigers ahead for good. He was 10 of 16 from the field, hitting 5 of 8 from long range.
Rod Melvin had 13 points and eight assists for Jackson State.
