MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Kenneth Faried pulled down 20 rebounds and scored 15 points to help Morehead State blow out Tennessee-Martin 70-49 in the Ohio Valley Conference opener for both teams on Thursday night.
The Eagles (4-3) shot 24 of 51 from the floor (47.1 percent) and outrebounded Tennessee-Martin 43-25.
Faried has grabbed 20 or more rebounds in a game five times in his career, including two games in a row. His career-high is 24, which he had against Florida A&M on Nov. 23, 2008.
Reuben Clayton scored 11 points and was the only player in double figures for the Skyhawks (2-5), who shot 18 of 47 from the floor (38.3 percent).
Sam Goodman added 13 points on 6-of-7 shooting for Morehead State. Faried added four blocks, three steals and two assists to his stat sheet.
