BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Chris Gaston grabbed a career-high 20 rebounds and scored 18 points to lead Fordham to a 74-67 win over Lehigh on Saturday night.
The Rams (3-4) shot 12 for 28 from the field (42.9 percent), including 8 of 11 from the free-throw line, but still trailed 35-34 at halftime after falling behind 11-0 in the game's first three minutes.
Fordham grabbed a 36-35 lead early in the second half after a jumper from Brenton Butler. The Rams would lead the rest of the game, stretching their advantage to 14, 58-44, with 8:41 left to play.
Butler led Fordham with 25 points, while Alberto Estwick added 18.
Gaston upped his season averages of 15.5 points per game and 12.5 rebounds per contest with his 25th career double-double.
