CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Jake Cohen scored 21 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to help Davidson run away from The Citadel 68-53 in Southern Conference play on Saturday.
The Wildcats (4-4, 1-1) shot 12 for 26 from the floor (46.2 percent) in the opening half and led 30-26 at the break despite being outscored 16-8 in the paint and 8-0 on fast break points.
Davidson started the second half on an 8-2 run to push its lead to 10, 38-28, as The Citadel never trailed by less than eight the rest of the way.
JP Kuhlman added 13 points for the Wildcats and Tom Droney had 10.
The Citadel (2-5, 1-1) turned the ball over 18 times, resulting in 21 points for the Wildcats. The Bulldogs had only six points off Davidson turnovers.
