Long Beach State rallies back vs. Boise State

BOISE, Idaho -- Greg Plater scored a season-high 21 points and Casper Ware added 16 to lead Long Beach State to a 69-66 victory over Boise State on Sunday.

Long Beach State (5-4) rallied from a 12-point second-half deficit to win.

Boise State (6-1), which was trying for its best start in school history, was led by Robert Arnold with 16 points and Westly Perryman with 15.

After Arnold's layup cut the 49ers' lead to 67-63 with 17 seconds to play, Boise State forced a turnover and Arnold made a 3-pointer with 10.8 seconds left to make it 67-66.

Ware's free throws with 9.6 seconds left made it a three-point lead, and Arnold missed on an off-balance 3-point attempt at the buzzer.

Eugene Phelps chipped in 13 points for the 49ers. La'Shard Anderson added 13 for the Broncos and Daequon Montreal had 10 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.
