FAIRFAX, Va. -- Ryan Pearson had 18 points as George Mason extended its winning streak to five games with a 66-52 win over Loyola (Md.) on Wednesday night.
Cam Long was perfect from the field en route to 11 first-half points as the Patriots (7-2) took a 36-23 lead at halftime, and then used the inside play of Pearson to extend the lead to as many as 22 in the second half to complete a perfect five-game homestand. The loss was the third straight for the Greyhounds (3-5).
Long, who became the 30th member of the Patriots' 1,000-point club with a 3-pointer to open the game, finished with 15 points and Luke Hancock added 13 points and seven assists.
