TEMPE, Ariz. -- Ty Abbott had 18 points, Trent Lockett added 16 and Arizona State ended a three-game losing streak with a 71-48 win over Gardner-Webb on Saturday.

Arizona State (4-4) dominated the offensive glass in the first half and played solid defense throughout to even its record with three games left before the start of Pac-10 play. Rihards Kuksiks hit four of Arizona State's 11 3-pointers and had 15 points, and Kyle Cain had 11 rebounds.

Gardner-Webb (6-7) struggled shooting and rebounding against Arizona State's length in the first half to trail by 12 and lost leading scorer Jon Moore to an injury early in the second. Brian McNair and Moore finished with 11 points each for the Bulldogs, who shot 30 percent and head to No. 24 Louisville next.
