Lipscomb really got going in the second half, shooting 19 for 24 from the field (79.2 percent) and 15 for 17 from the free-throw line (88.2 percent) to take a 96-84 lead with 47 seconds left.
Burgason finished with 28 points on 7-of-12 shooting from 3-point range and Slater added 21 points on 7-of-9 shooting overall. Hodzic scored all 23 of his points in the second half to become Lipscomb's all-time leading scorer since the school joined the NCAA in 2001.
Hodzic (1,635 points) passed Brian Fisk (1,633) who played for the Bisons from 2003-07.
