Keith Benson, Oakland upend Tennessee days after Michigan St. miss
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Oakland coach Greg Kampe kept telling his players they were just as good as the ranked opponents they have been playing this season. In their fourth game against a Top 25 team, they finally got their upset.Keith Benson, last season's Summit League player of the year, had 26 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Golden Grizzlies to an 89-82 victory over No. 7 Tennessee on Tuesday night.

Both the Tennessee men's and women's basketball teams went down to defeat on Tuesday night. The 7th-ranked Tennessee men were upset at home in Knoxville by Oakland, 89-82, while the 6th-ranked Lady Vols lost on the road at Baylor, 65-54. A common denominator in the two defeats was poor three-point shooting. The Tennessee men were just 4-18 (22.2 percent) on their trey attempts against Oakland, while the Lady Vols went 6-23 (26.1 percent) from beyond the arc in their loss at Baylor.
