NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Jeremy Simmons scored 26 points and had 12 rebounds to lead College of Charleston to a 77-69 victory over Charleston Southern on Wednesday night.
Andrew Goudelock added 20 points as the Cougars (8-3) extended their winning streak to four.
College of Charleston led 46-33 with 16:44 left to play, but Charleston Southern (5-6) went on a 23-9 run for a 56-55 lead on Sheldon Strickland's 3-pointer with 10:30 remaining.
Strickland hit all seven of his 3-point attempts and scored 27 points to lead the Buccaneers.
The Cougars' Donavan Monroe followed with a 3-pointer for a 58-56 advantage with 10:05 left. They led 73-63 on Goudelock's 3-pointer with 5:04 to play.
Monroe had 10 points for College of Charleston, which shot 55.6 percent from the 3-point line (5 of 9) in the second half.
