Lipscomb 99, Kennesaw State 73

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Adnan Hodzic scored 25 points and had eight rebounds to lead Lipscomb to a 99-73 victory over Kennesaw State on Saturday night.

Jordan Burgason and Josh Slater added 19 points each for the Bisons (7-2, 2-0 Atlantic Sun Conference), who entered the game averaging 83.9 points a game, eighth in the country.

They had 55 points at halftime and shot 48.7 percent from the field (37 of 76) to surpass their average and win their fifth consecutive game.

Lipscomb pulled away late in the first half, using an 18-5 run for a 46-30 lead with 3:03 remaining before halftime. The Bisons stretched the lead to 63-41 on Hodzic's three-point play with 17:01 to play in the game.

Burgason hit five of Lipscomb's 11 3-pointers and Robert Boyd added 12 points.

Markeith Cummings scored 23, Spencer Dixon had 21 and LaDaris Green added 11 points and 12 rebounds for Kennesaw State (2-8, 0-2).
