ALBANY, N.Y. -- Logan Aronholt and Tim Ambrose each scored 19 points and Albany (N.Y.) defeated Mount St. Mary's (Md.) 77-57 on Saturday night.
Mike Black added 18 points for the Great Danes (6-6), who have won five of their past six games. Albany led 43-28 at halftime and opened the second half with a 16-5 run, pushing the lead to 59-34 with 11:05 to play. The Mountaineers cut the lead to 63-46 with 5:13 remaining but could get no closer.The Great Danes shot 50 percent (29 for 58) from the field and outrebounded the Mountaineers 41-24.Mount St. Mary's struggled from long range, making only 21.1 percent (4 of 19) from 3-point range and made only 38.5 percent (10 of 26) from the field in the first half.Raven Barber scored 20 points and Lamar Trice had 15 for the Mountaineers (3-8), who have lost four consecutive games.
