TOLEDO, Ohio -- Reese Holliday's double-double Saturday led his team to its own double -- a two-game winning streak achieved with a 75-63 victory over Florida Gulf Coast.
The Rockets (2-9), who opened with nine consecutive losses, trailed by 14 in the first half and rallied in the second after Florida Gulf Coast led 37-30 at halftime.
Toledo outscored the Eagles 45-26 in the game's final 20 minutes, taking the lead for good when Anthony Wright's 3-pointer with 6:08 left broke a 56-all tie. The Eagles (2-7) lost their sixth in a row.
The Rockets benefited from Holliday's second consecutive double-double, 11 points and 13 rebounds, which followed the 16 points and 10 rebounds the freshman guard recorded against Valparaiso on Dec. 11.
J.T. Thomas came off the bench to lead Toledo with 16 points.
Anthony Banks scored 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Eagles.
