LOGAN, Utah -- Regis Huddleston scored a career-high 26 points Tuesday night as Troy snapped a nine-game losing streak with a 102-99 overtime victory over Western Michigan.
Huddleston buried three 3-point baskets in overtime and Bernard Toombs hit two free throws in the final 20 seconds to give the Trojans (2-9) the win.
The game was the opening matchup of the World Vision Invitational, hosted by Utah State University.
Juwan Howard Jr. led Western Michigan (5-5) with 24 points, and Demetrius Ward added 21, including a 3-pointer with 8.8 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime tied at 85. Howard scored eight straight points to pull the Broncos within 85-82, setting up Ward's shot.
Flenard Whitfield had 17 points for Western Michigan.
