GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Justin Harper scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Richmond to a 63-53 win over winless North Carolina-Greensboro on Wednesday.

The game was close through most of the first half, as Richmond held a 27-25 lead at halftime. The Spiders (9-3) opened the second half strong, pushing their lead to 42-31 on a layup by Kevin Smith with 12:24 left.

The Spartans (0-11) cut the margin to five with 6:06 remaining when Korey Van Dussen scored on a jumper. But UNC-Greensboro would get no closer as the Spiders answered with two free throws each from Smith and Kevin Anderson to push their advantage to 57-48.

Anderson finished with 12 points and Dan Geriot added 11 for Richmond.

Aloysius Henry had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, but also had five turnovers for the Spartans. Trevis Simpson led UNC-Greensboro with 14 points.
