DAYTON, Ohio -- Chris Johnson, playing with a groin injury, scored 18 points to lead Dayton to a 73-67 victory over George Mason on Wednesday night.

Cam Long led George Mason (9-3) with 20 points, but the Patriots never led in the second half and had their seven-game winning streak snapped.

George Mason cut the lead to four points twice in the final 1:26, but Dayton was 6 of 8 from the foul line to end the game.
