NEW ORLEANS -- Kendall Timmons scored 33 points and grabbed 19 rebounds to lead Tulane over Lamar 93-77 on Thursday night.

Aaron Holmes added 25 points and Kris Richard had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds as all five Green Wave starters scored in double figures. David Booker and Jordan Callahan chipped in 10 points each for Tulane (9-3).

The Green Wave trailed 42-40 at halftime and shot 52.9 percent in the second half (18 of 34) to finish with their highest point total since scoring 94 against Jackson State on Dec. 23, 2002.

After a 12-4 run put the Cardinals up 56-49 with 13:48 to play, Tulane answered with an 11-3 run. Booker's 3 capped the spurt and put the Green Wave up for good, 60-59, with 10:25 remaining.

Tulane extended its lead to 17 points, 87-70, on Timmons' free throws with 1:18 left.
