HUNTSVILLE, Texas -- Bo Ingram snagged a double-double, scoring 28 points and pulling down 10 rebounds, as Texas-Arlington topped Sam Houston State 65-58 on Wednesday night.
The Mavericks (7-8, 1-1 Southland) pulled ahead late in the first half on a 3-pointer by Ingram and never trailed after that. They led by as many as 13 points midway through the second half.
Texas-Arlington managed just 36.8 percent shooting from the field but pulled away as the Bearkats (8-7, 1-1) dropped to 30 percent shooting in the second half and 34.6 percent overall.
Gilberto Clavell took a double-double for the Bearkats, scoring 16 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Nafis Richardson added 11 points for Sam Houston State while Antuan Bootle took a game-high 15 rebounds.
Bradley Gay chipped in with 10 points for the Texas-Arlington.
