PHILADELPHIA -- Tyler Bernardini scored a career-high 27 points to lead Pennsylvania to a 73-61 victory over Saint Joseph's on Saturday night at the Palestra.
A 3-pointer by Bernardini with 8:30 remaining broke the game's seventh and final tie, and the Quakers (6-8) outscored Saint Joseph's 22-10 down the stretch. It was the sixth straight loss for the Hawks (5-14).
Bernardini made five 3-pointers and also had three steals for Penn, which beat Saint Joseph's for the first time in their last six meetings.
Zack Rosen added 17 points for the Quakers, including 6 for 6 from the free-throw line, to go with five assists and four steals.
