FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Umar Shannon scored a career-high 30 points and St. Francis (Pa.) outlasted Sacred Heart 88-86 in overtime on Thursday night.

The Red Flash (7-13, 5-4 Northeast Conference) have won five in a row after losing 11 straight and snapped a 15-game road losing streak dating back to last season.

St. Francis overcame a 55-45 deficit with 14:41 left to tie it at 66 with 5:35 to go.

The Red Flash led by four twice in the last 1:09 of regulation, but Shane Gibson, who paced the Pioneers with 22 points, made a three-point play with 15 seconds left to tie it at 77.

Scott Eatherton's layup and Shannon's three-point play opened overtime and St. Francis built an 84-77 lead before Sacred Heart got to 87-86 with 8 seconds to go on Jerrell Thompson's layup.

Jon Taylor sealed the win with a free throw with 2 seconds left.

Thompson added 21 points for the Pioneers (8-12, 3-6).
