ATLANTA -- Eric Buckner scored 18 points as Georgia State held off North Carolina-Wilmington 63-58 in overtime on Wednesday night, snapping a seven-game losing streak.
The Panthers (9-13, 4-8 Colonial Athletic Association) led 42-29 with 10:34 left in regulation before an 11-0 run from UNC Wilmington, capped by two free throws from Donte Morales, cut the deficit to 42-40 with 7:37 to go.
Chad Tomko hit a pair of free throws with 1:11 left on the clock to give the Seahawks (10-13, 4-8) a 52-50 lead. Buckner then hit a jumper with 44 seconds left, tying the score at 52 and sending the game into OT.
Georgia State made both field goal attempts and 6 of 8 from the line in overtime to seal it.
Trevor Deloach had 23 points and 12 rebounds and Tomko added 19 points for UNC Wilmington.
