TULSA, Okla. -- Scott Sutton set the Oral Roberts record for wins in the Golden Eagles' 81-73 victory over North Dakota State on Saturday night.

The Golden Eagles (11-14, 8-5 Summit) used a 23-5 second-half run to rally. Oral Roberts trailed for the first 29 minutes before Steven Roundtree knocked down two free throws with 11:07 left, giving Oral Roberts its first lead, 59-57. The Eagles extended their lead from there, outscoring the Bison 22-16 to close the game.

Sutton's 215th win pushed him past Ken Trickey (1969-74, 1987-93). The son of former Oklahoma State coach Eddie Sutton had already passed Bill Self and Barry Hinson on the school list.

"There have been some great, great coaches come through here," said Sutton, who won his on the coaching ladder. "When Coach Trickey put basketball, and really, put athletics, on the map here to break his record, it means a lot to me because of the guys that came before me."

North Dakota State (12-11, 6-7) led by as many 14 points in the first half and carried a 10-point lead into halftime behind 63 percent shooting in the opening 20 minutes.

But Warren Niles and Dominique Morrison, who combined for just seven points in the first half, scored 27 after the break to lead the Oral Roberts comeback.

Niles, Roderick Pearson and Damen Bell-Holter scored 18 points apiece, and Morrison had 14.

Michael Tveidt led the Bison with 19 points.
