CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- Isaiah Canaan scored 21 points to lead Murray State to its fifth consecutive victory, a 67-58 win over Austin Peay on Saturday night.

Isacc Miles added 15 points as the Racers (17-6, 9-3) took over first place in the Ohio Valley Conference, moving one-half game ahead of the Governors (15-10, 9-4).

The Racers used an 18-4 run to take a 46-30 lead with 11:58 to play.

The Governors, who won the first meeting between the teams on Jan. 8, cut the margin to 56-49 on Caleb Brown's layup with 2:18 remaining, but Miles hit a free throw and the Racers led by at least eight the rest of the way.

Murray State shot 54.5 percent from the field (12 of 22) in the second half and outrebounded Austin Peay 34-27. The Governors were also only 2 of 13 from the 3-point line (15.4 percent).

Josh Terry scored 17 points, Will Triggs added 15 points and Brown had 10 for Austin Peay.
