NEWARK, N.J. -- Jim Calhoun has never been one to shy away from letting his players know how he's feeling about their effort. And while the Hall of Famer was mixing and matching his young Connecticut team, trying to find a way to make up a 10-point deficit with 8 minutes to play against Seton Hall, he got his point across about their need to play some great defense if the sixth-ranked Huskies were to avoid a third straight loss.
• The Huskies were down 14 points in the second half but ended the game on a 25-9 run to snap their two-game losing streak.
• Connecticut has won 11 straight and 25 of its past 27 games against Seton Hall.
• After losing their first two Big East road games, the Huskies have won four in a row on the road in conference play.
• Seton Hall is 1-6 against ranked teams this season.
