DELAND, Fla. -- Freshman guard Corey Walden made a floater off the glass with 5.5 seconds left to give Stetson a 55-54 win over East Tennessee State on Sunday.
The Hatters (7-18, 5-9 Atlantic Sun Conference) snapped a seven-game losing streak that began with back-to-back one-point losses.
Walden led Stetson with 15 points, nine rebounds and six steals. He also became the first Hatter to play a full 40 minutes since Will Robertson on Feb. 17, 2001, a span of 284 games.
ETSU (17-9, 12-3), which had won 13 of its last 14 games, was led by Micah Williams' 15 points.
Stetson trailed by 11 points, 54-43, with 5:40 to play before scoring the game's final 12 points.
