No. 11 Georgetown takes control in final four minutes to beat No.13 Syracuse
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- John Thompson III looked skyward and exhaled. Finally, a win on hallowed ground.Austin Freeman had 14 points to lead four Georgetown players in double figures and the 11th-ranked Hoyas rallied late to beat Syracuse (No. 13 ESPN/USA Today, No. 12 AP) 64-56 on Wednesday night, giving Thompson his first win in the Carrier Dome in six tries.

• The Hoyas have won seven straight Big East games following a 1-4 conference start. It's their longest conference win streak since winning 11 in a row in the 2006-07 season.
• Wednesday's game is just the second win for Georgetown in its last 13 road games at Syracuse and the first since 2002.
• Austin Freeman led five Hoyas in double figures with 14 points but was just 6 for 15 from the floor.
• Syracuse has lost three straight home games for the first time since 2002.
