PHILADELPHIA -- Tyler Bernardini scored 26 points with six 3-pointers and Pennsylvania held off Brown 70-62 on Friday night to snap a four-game losing streak.
Brown overcame a 14-point second-half deficit and twice took one-point leads, the last coming at 51-50 with 4:36 to play after two free throws by Sean McGonagill. The Quakers (12-12, 4-4 Ivy League) responded with an 18-4 run to grab a 68-55 lead with 35 seconds to play.
The Quakers connected on 16 of 18 free throw attempts and the Bears made only 7 of 12. Brown shot only 39 percent from the field (23 of 59).
