THIBODAUX, La. -- Anatoly Bose scored nine of his 30 points in overtime, including the go-ahead four-point play, as Nicholls State edged Northwestern State 83-81 Wednesday night.

Bose became the third Colonels player to surpass 2,000 career points after entering the game needing 20.

With the score tied at 71 after regulation, Kenny Franklin, Jr., hit a 3-pointer for Nicholls State (14-12, 8-7 Southland Conference), then Bose poured in the rest of the Colonels' points.

After he completed a three-point play for a 77-73 lead, the Demons (17-13, 9-6) used a 6-0 run, capped by William Mosley's three-point play, to lead by two with 1:31 to go.

Bose and Northwestern State's Dominic Knight exchanged free throws, then Bose hit a 3-pointer with 13 seconds left and made the ensuing foul shot. Another Bose free throw with 2 seconds to go sealed it.

Will Pratt led the Demons with 24 points.
